League Match v Shropshire 2015

The 1st team played their penultimate match of the season on a very sunny day at Ruddington Grange on Sunday 26th September.
Shropshire brought a strong team and manged to navigate their way around the course as if they had played there before! The Notts girls found a few too many trees on the tight Ruddington course but, despite some good short game skills, couldn't survive the pressure applied by the Shropshire team.

Overall Notts lost the match 5-1, but displayed a good fighting spirit!

League Match v Staffordshire 2015

The match was played at Uttoxeter GC on Sunday 13th September, on an extremely tight course which caught out quite a few of the girls, who had to contend with a few blind holes. The match was played on a sunny day and the course was in a very good condition. After nine holes it looked as if we were in for a whitewash but the Notts girls rallied really well for a final score 3½ to 2½. The girls are always well behaved, polite and it is always a pleasure to be the organiser on the day. Seven girls played on the day but only 6 match scores counted. I would like to say a big thank you to all of the Notts girls but a special thank you to Emma Hammond, who played but whose score did not count. A big thank you also to Uttoxeter Golf Club who made us feel extremely welcome.

Match Assistant

Taskers Trophy supports Junior Golf

The Taskers Trophy is a competition for teams of golfer's aged 50 and over which uses the proceeds from its entries to help support Junior Golf within their own counties. This year they have given us £1020 for the 21 teams that entered from within the NCLGA region.

This is a fantastic donation for Junior Golf and really helps support our Junior training programmme at all levels. We would like to thank Taskers for this donation and encourage clubs in the county to enter as many teams as they can as each extra team entered will produce more funds for our juniors.

Entry for the 2016 competition for over-50's is now open at http://www.interclub.org.uk
