Girls & Intermediate Championships 2023

The Championships were held at Oakmere Golf Club on Sunday 7th May 2023. Congratulations to all entrants on a great day of golf.  Oakmere Golf Club put on fantastic weather and a tough challenge for both the 18 Hole championships on the Admirals Course and the 9 hole championship on the Commanders course. It was fantastic to see so many players on a bank holiday weekend with the coronation bunting out to wave them on.

Congratulations to Amelia Wan who took the first scratch and net prizes, fresh from her successes in the England team against Spain earlier in the week.  Junior Captain Jorja took second place in the scratch competition with Maddison Clarke taking second net.  Millie Browne took the Bronze division scratch trophy and the Handicap cup.  U16 Scratch went to Elizabeth Wilson and U14 Scratch to Millie Marsh.

In the 9 hole competition over a challenging commanders course Sancha Evison gained first place with Sofia Evison a close second place.  It really is brilliant to see so many of you taking part and gaining your first handicaps.
