Winners - Lincolnshire ; Runners Up - Nottinghamshire
Nottinghamshire finished runners-up to Lincolnshire for the 2nd time in 3 years at the Midlands North County week held at Hawkstone Park G.C. in Shropshire. We won 4 of our 5 matches but unfortunately failed to beat our old adversaries Lincolnshire who were unbeaten, winning for the 5th time in a row, they go forward to the finals in September at Wilmslow G.C.
I would like to thank my wonderful team who played, caddied and supported during the week. It was extremely pleasing that all the squad were able to play and represent their county. There was a fantastic team spirit and it was a pleasure to be their captain this year. I would also like to thank Jane Fowler for being a brilliant vice captain, Bridgett, Gill, Kathryn, everyone who came to support the girls and for all the cards and messages of good luck we received.
We have a young extremely talented team coming through in Nottinghamshire and the future for county golf looks very bright. Go for it Jane!!!!
