Mixed Am-Am 2016
The Mixed Open Am Am took place at Rufford Park Golf Club on Sunday, 24th April, 2016. This is an event that is organised and run by the County Junior Girls in aid of their funds. The event comprises a team of four, 2 ladies and 2 gentlemen, with the best ladies and gents stableford score counting on each hole.
The prize winners were presented their prizes by the NCLGA President Mrs Joan Underwood. They were:
1st with 77 pts: Michael Boulton, Helen Boulton, Rachel Bouton, Andy Tyler
2nd with 76 pts: Caron Harrison, Steve Harrison, Penny Huber, Jerry Huber
3rd with 73 pts: Colette Newton, Glenn Newton, Jane Fowler, John Fowler
The putting competitions were won by Pam Huber and Jonathon Peacock
The Junior Girls organised by their Captain, Esme Hamilton, worked extremely hard on the day running the desk, acting as starters, holding a putting competition, cleaning clubs and a raffle. Esme was assisted by Kristina Lazarevic, Jacey Peacock, Charlotte Hazelwood, Charlie Inger and Chloe Steele. Their combined efforts saw them raise over £340 in those activities alone. In addition Esme's mum Katrina should be thanked for her help with club cleaning in the cold!
The whole day realised a net profit to go to the junior funds of just over £1147. A brilliant effort, and our sincere thanks to all those who participated in the day. A real vote of thanks and gratitude must be recorded to Rufford Park GC for agreeing to host the event and for their continued support of County Golf.
