Friendly Match v Mapperley 2016
On Thursday 7th April the Junior Girls started their season with a friendly match against Mapperley Ladies. The team was Stephanie Firth, Lucy Holbrough, Charlie Inger, Katie Robertson, Chloe Steele, and acting Captain Georgia Viggers.
The match was played in a great spirit and the Mapperley ladies helped mentor the girls with advice on course management and hitting off sloping lies, something they are experts at! For the second year running the match was halved.
This match is used an opportunity to give some of our up and coming players experience of playing in the county team. So, although it was the first match for both Lucy and Chloe, they both remained outwardly very calm on the first tee and hit great tee shots out of sight, well done girls!
