2nd Team Matches v Lincs & Leics

On Wednesday 25th July we played Lincolnshire at Ashby Decoy Golf Club, near Scunthorpe. A very tricky course with accuracy off the tee required. We were down in the morning foursomes 2-1 with Louise Wilding and Lou Beaumont continuing their good partnership and getting a point. Emma Anderson and Louise Wilding gained wins in the afternoon, but a solid performance from an experienced Lincolnshire team resulted in a 6-3 away loss.

On Monday 30th July, Radcliffe-on-Trent Golf Club played host for our last match this season, against Leicestershire. Unfortunately we were down 2-1 in the morning foursomes, with a point for Caron Harrison and Carol Houghton. There were some tough matches in the afternoon and some great golf. However, Leicestershire were the better team on the day and gained a 6½-2½ win.
