NUGC Ladies' Annual Dinner

NCLGA President Maureen Clarke was a special guest of Notts Union President Bob Ward at the Ladies’ Annual Dinner which took place at the Crowne Plaza Hotel, Nottingham, on Friday 12th January 2018 – the same night as the NUGC Annual Dinner.
Bob and Maureen welcomed many of the attendees to Afternoon Tea in advance of the Dinners. Presidents and Past Presidents from several English Counties were in attendance at the very popular and successful NUGC Annual Dinner, and many of their wives attended the Annual Ladies’ Dinner which was hosted by Maureen.

Maureen welcomed the ladies, and said how delighted she was to be Bob’s guest, to meet them all, and wished them a very enjoyable evening. After an excellent 3-course meal, Maureen introduced the Guest Speaker, Gaynor, from Burleigh’s Gin and Gin School 45 in Leicestershire. The ladies enjoyed an excellent talk on the History of Gin and were able to taste the new flavours of Gin that are now available. Bob provided all attendees with a gift – a miniature bottle of Gin! Everyone said how much they enjoyed the evening and Bob, Maureen and Mandy Bee (who had organised the Ladies’ Dinner) were thanked by Lynn Stubbings, wife of Midland Golf Union President, for a great evening. Maureen was presented with a huge bouquet of flowers.
