2nd Team Away Match v Leicestershire 2016

Sadly, I have to report that our much anticipated opening 2ndTeam match against Leicestershire at Scraptoft on Monday 20th June, had to be called off.

Our team battled their way through heavy traffic and rain to arrive at Scraptoft in time for a bacon sandwich and a coffee but the rain was persistent and the forecast very gloomy. I inspected the course with the Leics captain to find standing water on the fairways and the greens unplayable. After much discussion, we agreed reluctantly to call the match off and to record a half for the day.
