Notts Win MVLGA Team Championships

The MVLGA County Team Championships were played at Handsworth Golf Club over 3 days from 11th to 13th October 2021. The main tournament is 2 days of stroke play, off scratch, with 3 players scores from 4 counting each day. With 16 teams taking part from around the Midlands the competition was tough. Staffordshire have won the tournament for the last 5 years and, with handicaps of 1 and less, Nottinghamshire needed to perform well.

With good scores from Caron Harrison and Carol Houghton on the 1st day, Notts were leading by 1 shot going into the last day, with Staffordshire and Worcestershire just behind.
Notts played steady golf on Day 2 and pulled off a fantastic win to take the title by 6 shots from Staffordshire.
