Junior Jubilee 2022

The last event of 2022 the Junior Jubilee saw the end of an era, with Susie Taylor announcing that she was stepping down from her role as County Junior Organiser, after 7 years of her infectious enthusiasm for junior golf and her competitive spirit we have had a very successful few seasons under her leadership and she will be sorely missed. As county champions for the last two years no-one can underestimate the impact she has had on her teams and we know she will be watching carefully to ensure we continue this run of form! Thank you, Susie, for all your hard work.
The junior jubilee was a great success, many thanks to all the ladies from the senior teams who came to play in the competition in what turned out to be rather chilly and damp conditions and congratulations to the winning teams on braving the elements.

The Junior Jubilee is also the official handover of Captaincy as Maddie Smith handed over the badge to Jorja Newbold. We all wish Maddie the very best in the years to come and will be watching her progress carefully. She has been a fantastic captain and really showed how to lead from the front. Many thanks too go to the Smith family for providing fantastic prizes and gifts on the day.

There is a group of people who rarely get the thanks they deserve and that is the parents. So, on behalf of the girls thank you for all the car journeys around the country, support and guidance, caddying skills and all the patience that is required in a normal golfing year.

 Junior coaching resumes on 8th February 2023 at Norwood Park. Richard and I look forward to seeing you.
